On December 17, 1903 at Kitty Hawk, North Carolina, the Wright Brothers in their Flyer
became the first to fly in a powered, heavier-than-air machine achieving controlled and
sustained flight with a pilot aboard.

One Hundred years later on the centennial of the Wright Brothers historic and groundbreaking
accomplishment, Don Lussky with the backing of the American Air Mail Society made a trip
round-the-world as a passenger on regularily scheduled commercial airline flights. His
round-the-world journey began in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina on December 17, 2003. His journey
was documented by his carrying 250 philatelic covers that were hand-stamped in each of the
seven continents of this earth.
