On October 4, 1929, 25 days before the Great Stock Market CRASH, Kenneth E Haines sent an Air Mail letter from Punxsutawney PA addressed to himself routed via various countries linked in a chain around the world.


On December 22, 1929, after the passing of 79 days, the Air Mail letter was returned to Punxsutawney PA appropriately backstamped at each interim country during its around-the-world journey.



Air cover, tying C-11 and #557 made the around- the-world trip from Punxsutawney to Punxsutawney Pennsylvania in 79 days.
