	On September 10, 1957 the US international FAM-18 (Foreign Air Mail) route was inauguarated over 
the north pole to London, England and Paris, France.  This allowed mail to connect to network of 
flights that would take it round-the-world. International FAM-18 service was provided by Pan American 
Airways.
