On June 1963 Pan American Airlines inaugurated all-cargo jet operations with full-pallet
load/unload facilities using their B-707-321C aircraft.
On July 1, 1965, the international FAM-14 route inaugurated all-cargo round-the-world service
between San Francisco, CA and New York, NY via Calcutta, India. Similarily, on July 3, 1965 the
international FAM-18 route was inaugurated between New York and San Francisco via Calcutta. Mail
could travel round-the-world via these all-cargo flights. FAM-14 and FAM-18 service was provided by
Pan American Airlines.

Note: When the San Francisco plane landed at Tokyo, Japan, it was refused permission to continue as
it carried a "revenue load." The covers were placed on a regular passenger flight to New
York where they were backstamped.
