        A derelict vessel is any vessel that is left, stored or abandoned upon or under the waters of the State of Florida in a wrecked, junked or substantially dismantled condition [FS 823.11 (1)]

What damage can an abandoned or derelict vessel cause?

        An answer to this question is available at the Charlotte County Extension Service as follows:

        Charlotte County provides a procedure to report an abandoned/derelict vessel or a vessel that is a hazard to navigation.
